Acne can be a small problem, or a personal tragedy! Most people who have reached or exceeded the teenager had experienced an unsightly skin and irritated by acne. For most of us, acne is a problem sometimes associated with adolescence, sometimes also present intermittently throughout life. For others, acne is an aggressive invader, always there, irritating, everywhere, that gene in their relationships with themselves and to others. Some, but they are rare, have little or not affected by this problem.
Needless to deprive you of chocolate or you wash your face several times a day! Acne is not a matter of hygiene, or food. It is a disorder of adolescence when hormones play a role. But if acne usually fades into the age of 20 years, some adults continue to suffer until an advanced age. Indeed, contrary to commonly accepted image, acne is not restricted to teenagers: 20% of females and 14% of men between 35 and 55 years are also suffering! Acne occurs when the hair follicles of your skin are clogged. Nobody knows exactly why this happens or why it varies in intensity from one individual to another, even within one family. It is not known why acne more commonly appears after puberty, although the sebaceous glands widen considerably at that time, which could be a factor. The fat manufactured by the hair follicles, oil, is normally helpful to the skin, because it will not dry out and protect them selves from infection.
When the oil can no longer be draining, it accumulates and becomes carrying bacteria. The sebaceous glands of people with acne are particularly sensitive to the presence in the blood of a hormone called Testosterone, which is naturally both in men than in women. The testosterone in people suffering from acne accelerates the activity of the sebaceous glands which start to produce oil in large quantity. At the same time, the epithelial cells died obstructing the opening of hair follicles (tubes containing hair) are not eliminated properly and clog follicles.
These two effects combined cause a concentration in the greasy hair follicle. This leads to the formation of black spots and white buttons. For some, acne is not progressing beyond this stage. However, for other people, the fat concentration in the hair follicle creates an ideal environment for the development of bacteria called Propionibacterium Acnes. These bacteria live normally without problems on our skin. But when this ideal environment is created, they are developing. They feed on oil and produce a substance that provokes an immune system response of our body.
As the buttons appear, the skin can ignite. This inflammation can last beyond the button itself, once it has erupted or cured. In extreme cases, scarring can occur as a result of the inflammatory response caused by the infection. It is not known why some people are more prone to scarring than others. Although the healing process can take time, fortunately inflammation and most buttons acne eventually disappear.
Acne can lead to consequences on the psychological and social. It is therefore important to take charge as soon as possible and to implement an effective treatment to prevent its aggravation. Moreover, acne can cause scars, including corrective treatment (peeling, laser …) is sometimes difficult. You can not prevent acne because it is often hereditary origin; however we can act on aggravating factors. Generally, juvenile acne is treated better than adult acne. Choose or most appropriate treatment is not always simple. It is important to keep the skin clean and clean the affected areas twice a day with mild soap and non-scented moisturize skin with a cream properly.
There are a number of remedies to treat acne softer. They usually contain antibacterial agents such as benzoyl peroxide. In addition to its antibacterial effects, benzoyl peroxide dry the skin and requires it to remove fragments of dead skin. These two effects combined, preventing pores clog easily and develop an infection.
